The greater Dayton region has an available, skilled workforce of over 620,000 people (2023) who meet the needs of our diverse industry sectors. Wages and the Cost of Living are lower here than you will find in the rest of the US which pairs well with the amenities available for our residents. With over 120 degree-granting institutions within 60 miles of Dayton and strong workforce training resources, our goal is to continue to build and enhance that workforce. Major employment sectors include Government, due in part to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio’s largest single-site employer (38,000 jobs), Aerospace, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Professional Services.
